I agree...I was just thinking about swapping the black guard to a tort! Also, that Darkstar P is awesome.

Congrats, it's a beauty! My US 44-64 has been my #1 since I got it new 5 years ago. What neck width did you choose? I'm guessing 1.75 since you're coming from an AVRI.

Anyone rocking a 55-60 round here? I have a line on a natural/maple one for sale, out the door, for under 600. I enjoyed how it played, but do you think it's a decent deal? It seems prices vary wildly on these, and people often install active electronics in them.

That wouldn't last an hour if it popped up on the classifieds here at that price. They don't often go below $800. Also, natural is not a very common finish.

Welp, I went back and picked it up. I actually went straight from the pawn shop to my gig, and it fit perfectly. It has some I sort of flat wounds on it, which sound great. Whoever owned it before me obviously played the snot out of it; the upper part of the fingerboard is all worn out (where he parked his thumb) and the fretboard is worn through in spots. There's one large finish crack, but I won't complain. It has character.

Overall, not bad for 580 out the door! Only thing left to do is get a black pickguard for it. Anyone looking to trade for a mint one?

I have a jsonic 5 string and can say they are much hotter and have more low end than typical j pickups... The first time I played it the sound guy thought it was active....

I really love both the high and lows the chi sonics offer....

You will not be dissapointed...

I've got one with Chi's and an active fretless one... Love them both!

Hey bp. I've been using the DNA 1350 and 2X10 cab for a couple of years now. Really dig it! It gets loud and sounds great doing it. I'm looking forward to the DJ 5 but won't get it for several weeks. Gonna have to find a way to hold on!! :D
