Yes...I did.... Loved the addition!

I sold the 44-64 (then called a Glaub)
Now I have 2 5564 PJs.... Love them

I think I may have played one of them at last years Chicago G2G. Your Nordstrand equipped(p only, if I remember correctly) 55-64 was awesome!

Did Carl do the installation for you?(also curious about cost if you want to pm me...)

Yes you did!

The Glaub-4 had Fralins - Yes - Carl did it (forget the cost as it was many years and many basses ago).

The Nordy equipped bass was converted "in house" by Lakland. I had a new neck installed at the same time - so again, don't know the cost of the J conversion.

The other one (Lakland Vintage P/J set up) was built that way.

Carl is very talented and reasonable...I'd call him to find out the cost.

So I fitted some La Bella Gold Flats to my 44-94 (Shoreline Gold)..... oh it sings now!!!
Started recording a Soul/Motown type album (P pickup solo'd mostly), so will post some tunes when it's all done

beautiful bass. How do the LaBella golds sound compared to their typical flats?

I've not tried the Lakland flats, this bass came with their 45-105 rounds as that's what I thought I wanted. I've had my '71 Precision strung with Chromes for the last 5 years or so, which are cool (although probably now going to swap for La Bella FL's), and so after playing that bass, I felt the rounds on the 44-94 just weren't doing the bass justice. So I wanted a string that sounded a bit brighter than standard flats, but nice and smooth.....it helped that the La Bella's were also Gold and matched the bass haha.....but in actual fact, tonally they're perfect for me and this bass!

Off the back of this, I'm going to experiment with some Gold White Tapewounds on my 55-01, again replacing round wounds.
I think I'm actually done with round wounds!! Bold statement, but true. I have a 6 string 33" headless being built by ACG in Scotland, and so the next challenge will be petitioning La Bella to make some flats that will fit that (it's all about where the silk falls in the 'headstock' clamp), until then, it will have to be rounds on that :(.
