Knowing the Scheff’s signature sound, I’d have to say a fretless would really have some serious oomph! The maple would brighten it a smidge, and rounds would even more. It has to be a fun bass to play!Agreed.

1. Custom Skyline Jerry Scheff 4-String in Lake Placid Blue (LPB) with rare Maple Fretless with Ebony Lines neck and US Style Hipshot Tuners including Drop-D Tuner. This required some mechanical ingenuity and deemed impossible by many - which was enough for me to push through the task.
