Looking through your jealousy-inducing equipment list, there's a noticeable lack of pastel. Tell your wife that SoundSupport just doesn't think you're trying hard enough, and that you need to rectify the situation.

Went ahead and up graded the pickups to Nordstrand NJ4SE HUM-CANCELLING, added a John East J retro,I got to say I am loving it! still toying with the idea of going to the NJ4SV'S like I have on my Getty. Sorry about the pic , I suck at pics.
The East is a whole 'nother level in character.

So... Lakland Hanson singles. Single coil hum can be bothersome, especially if there's a lot of hum sources where you play: fluorescent lights, computer monitors, crappy electrical work (like most bar stages), etc etc. The Nordys are essentially humbuckers. But, since you like to favor the neck pickup, you'll probably love the extra oomph and mids. You'll be able to add back in any lost highs w/ the preamp.
