was curious if any of you long time LOGers could clue me in on some history of the 44-76.
I'm looking to purchase a Scheff and found the club for that specific model. In it the individual who seems to run it shared quite a bit of info on that model. Info like the history of the model, how many US production models were made etc... I was wondering if anyone here has or could point me in the direction of a resource where I could attain such information on the 76.

That is gorgeous! Did a little surfing after looking at this and wondered if this was legit:

It looks legit to me. It’s got the pre-cease and desist headstock shape, and all the other early 4-94 characteristics.
So fender went after Lakaland for the headstock? What did they change? Because the current ones are still pretty fenderesque imho
I don’t think the early or current headstock shape looks even close to a Fender, especially compared to some other builders. But, Lakland took some of the curviness out of the old shape, to appease them.

It’s probably been covered to death, but does the Bartolini MK1 preamp overly scooped? I just got a 55-01 with the new Lakland LH55 pickups installed. I don’t like how overly scooped the tone is.. I don’t know if it’s the pickups or the preamp. I can pretty much EQ it out, but it’s still not really what I’m wanting. I don’t really know how to figure out if it’s the pickups or the preamp that I have an issue with.

Since our Church is not meeting in person, they wanted families to send in a video with "Hosanna" in it for Palm Sunday. We had fun with it.
I am sure livestream is getting a work out these days!
It is very weird to watch what is usually a full church with just one or two musicians and singers and a single pastor.
I cannot wait to be able to play in the band again..

Dang, that is the biggest Lakland I've ever seen!!!
I know DBs are totally different instruments, but if LAKLAND would ever figure it out...I'd be in line for one (if I had the coinage that is!)
I even talked to Carl about it...he said he "might" be able to build an EUB but not a DB - but I dunno...he's got alot of talent!
I asked for some advice a while back from you guys and you were very helpful, so I got the bass. A 1999 5594 I purchased a while back.. Its absolutely killer.
