Lakland Owners Group #69

Was the 55-14's cavity not as nice?

Shielded but no inserts and the wiring is not nearly as clean.

A Lākland and a GB Streamliner.... there’s no better combination, at least for me :-D. Add in my Aguilar DB112nt cabinets and I’m in heaven!

Changing topics: do you have any digital calipers? I’d love to see the measurements of your 44-94’s neck and compare to the 2 first year basses, that I made a post about a few weeks back.
Totally agree, I keep coming back to the Streamliner as an amp, teamed up with the Greenboy 12/6 it sounds fantastic, I am keen to try the new MB TT800 though. The shame is the church I play at has gone to IEM so all I hear is my Trace Elliott B Transit pre amp and a tiny ear piece.......
I have digital calipers at work, but am away till mid next week, so will measure it then and report back on them.

Couple questions for the experts in the group and my

...and use sleeved screws for the cavity cover?

No question here; just a picture of the fretboard and BEM dots.

Thank you for your help!
out of interest... do you know what size those threaded screws are? Previous owner of my 55-94 lost half of them - I'm guessing its a... erm, what do you call non metric size? One of them?

That’s some gorgeous ash grainage! And, I’m a big fan of that look: natty ash, black blocked maple board, and BWB pickguard.

Is that a PLEK’d neck?

Yeah, she's a beauty, and the setup was almost perfect out of the box. I would assume it's PLEK'd, since it's a fairly new bass.
Pretty sure she will be staying exactly as-is... no trips to Marty for her, lol.

Yes, not every bass gets the sparkle treatment LOL!!

My latest, the 44-64GZ is a 2020 Demo/B stock and it’s setup was practically perfect too. I could maybe file a couple of nut slots a hair deeper, but there’s no need really. I’m very impressed! I was not so impressed with the pre-PLEK Skylines that I had years ago.

Proper photo shoot to come, but had a NBD this week! Been trying to play more 4 string this year, and this one worked out perfectly! It's replacing a Fender Player P, which was actually surprisingly great, but it just felt wrong to not have a Lakland in the stable. View attachment 3881558
Major Droolage ... is that even a word?! Please post more pics of this magnificent looking Bass; Mh next P/J Bass will be VERY similar to this; Congrats, it's Awesome!
