Lakland Owners Group #69

I prefer them on that bass as well, compared to the black dome knobs. To each their own. It’s a beauty either way.

I had the dome knobs in my box of parts and put them on to see if I like them. I don’t hate the stock knobs, just checking out options to make it more of my own. Good thing is I like the pickups and pre and that’s not changing.

Here's a pic. It's kinda unique with the birdseye inlays on ebony. I bought it here a few weeks ago. Sounds great and the neck is awesome.

Cross posting from the Sadowsky thread because I’m bummed out.

Just got home to the Hurricane Ida fallout. We had ~8” of water come into the basement while we were away. My green NYC J4, my 2 Lakland P’s (custom chambered 44-64 my wife gave me for my 50th and JJ’s 51P) and my MK Electrici upright are all casualties :(Watching water drain out of the Jack was sad.

I can’t complain too loud as there are plenty who have it far worse, and 2 friends have significant impact to their businesses (one a School of Rock, so the autumn student season is hosed and fewer new musicians )

color me sad.

So sorry to hear this. Sucks that living north of NYC you still are not safe from hurricane flooding. What is the world coming to!

Very sorry Ted... But like you said... Could have been far worse...:(.

Still... Very hard to stomach.

I hope you have insurance to replace the basses and other tangible losses....:(
