Lakland Owners Group #69

anyone have any info about the Lakland brand SS 45-128 sets? They've been out of stock forever and I love them on my 55-02. I always string them through body...are there any other sets out there you all have used that fit the same way? Thanks!!
I don't know if they're any easier to get, but when I was using steels, I used DR Long Necks. Carl Pedigo joked with me that "it's like they were made for Laklands" as they fit so perfectly.

I use both DR Hi-Beams & Lo-Riders on my 55-02.

but here is the aforementioned NBD 55-14 limited run relic finish with a roasted neck.
She's a beauty, CV! I hope that you're in love.

I'm popping in to say that my experience as I wait for a custom build is great. I've had a couple of weird ideas that I've shot over to John, and he's been stellar. The default is "sure, why not, we can do that!" and it's making me ever-more excited to own the P-bass of my dreams. Kudos to Lakland.

Pic from the womb of my 54-P custom due in a couple weeks.....body is chambered ash/trans black, not yet buffed/polished. It'll be a 34" passive 5er with RW board, reverse split coil pup, V/T..........John's gonna send pics with and without a tort 'guard before they drill the 'guard holes, just in case I wanna go commando......and lookin' at it now I really wonder if I should ditch the 'guard.....

Pretty cool!! Congrats!

But, how could you go naked with the P route being the way it is?

Also, what shape pickguard? I’m a pretty big fan of the one Markus designed for my Carlo dual P.
