There's a thought, but then I'd have to change those little black switches too and I don't know how much soldering I want to get into on a bass I'm still insure of. If I decide it's a keeper I may explore that option.

Nice @Gougedeye; I like the color in combination with the black headstock, black hardware and black pearloid pick guard. Don't get me started on the MOP inlays and binding!

I know it was mentioned before, but that’s some high grade quilt you have @Joeykun. Love the color.
It’s been kinda quiet over here so I thought I’d let you all in on my insanity. I fully acknowledge my problem and I am in dire need of a deprogramming as my Lakland obsession is becoming too much. Around the end of the year, I realized I probably should move off a negative number of Lakland basses. Reviewing my lineup, I realized I could use a 55-01 with a maple neck. So I’d been casually looking as I was in no hurry. Then, checked out the online sales this past weekend and lo-and-behold, look what showed up yesterday!
A 2015 with a very yellow sunburst over quilted maple.
Granted, it had a black pickguard over the quilt but that, along with the upgraded LH3 preamp and Aguilar pickups (don’t like the stock Barts) is what ultimately sold me as I like how it complements my existing 55-01 with Nordstrands and a white pearl pickguard.
I’m out of space though. May need to sell a Fender to make room.

I restrung my 55-AJ with DR Hi-Beams and changed out the knobs to some dome ones. This bass looks and sounds killer. Can’t wait to gig it next Saturday!! I took advantage of the Sun with this shot today!
Nice shot. Quilt looks very deep. Tried Hi-Beams a few times, just did not gel with them. Different strokes as they say. Liked SS Low Riders better. Since then have moved on to my now favorite, Dunlop SS Super Brite Marcus Miller sig. set.

I have DR Lo-Riders on my 55–02. They seem to work really well and I like the higher tension with that bass.
