Lakland Owners Group #69

I have a 2010 Skyline 55-60 and a ‘98 55-94 and I’d say the Skyline is about 85% of the US 94. Dimensions are similar but the rolled edges, oiled neck, and fret finish work on the 55-94 is just so dang comfortable and easy to play. I took some light steel wool to the back of my 55-60 to knock the gloss down a little bit and make it less “sticky” but I can feel the fret ends under my hand while I’m playing.

Mind you, the Skyline neck is not bad by any means (my main gigging bass). just noticeable after playing a US model.

NICE. Great description!! Love that old school birds eye maple fingerboard!! Now I gotta pull out my 2004 55-63 & do a more detailed eval against my Skyline 55-60!!!

I'd like to join this here group if I might. A week and change ago, I walked into MusicGoRound in Duluth, GA, handed them some gear, and walked out with this puppy (+ one pedal)... a 2003-year Skyline 44-02 Deluxe. It is currently slung upon me and bringing me joy.
