Looking for a USA hollow-body. Anyone have a line on where to find one? Willing to pay top dollar for the right one!

And the clock is running now that I have confirmation the 55-76 is headed here to the Rattlesnake Redoubt. On another note dealt with rattler #37 right after pulling the trigger so... custom strap. 9 rattles. My dog EOS proved her snake-avoidance training stellar by alerting, barking and keeping distance. She'd have gone after anything else.

Are you really putting the rattlesnake to work on a strap? Like, can we see how it turns out if so?
This has surely been covered before but....kinda bummed that the Hipshot D-Tuner for Lakland only comes in Chrome, the Skyline I was planning to put it on has nickel or brushed hardware so the one turner stands out as a misfit.
Yep, I understand. I tried one for about a month or so and just didn't like the contrasting look so I got rid of it.

I did before I posted that, they don't have satin / brushed / nickel finishes for their D-tuner, only Chrome which doesn't match. Checking with Brian & Co. for an alternative.
After two weeks playing with the 44-64 GZ, my 55-02 is back on stage
I love my 44-02/55-02 combination that I'm bringing to pretty much every gig these days. The 44-02 has supplanted my previous #1 Fender Marcus Miller JB (now mostly on backup duty).
I like to have a backup 5-string in place as well - currently that's being handled by a EBMM Sterling 5H but I brought it to a gig the other night just to change things up and was reminded that I have trouble getting a tone I like out of that one, as well as not being able to adjust on the fly as well as I'd like to accommodate various songs.
I'm tempted to just keep an eye out for a good deal on another 55-02 and move the Sterling on but is it crazy to have two of the exact same bass (except for maybe color)? I've read the other threads about people having multiples of the same bass but they usually change it up with one having rounds and one flats, etc. which I don't think matches up with my goal.
Should I be looking for a different flavor of Lakland as the 5-string backup? I've toyed with the idea of a DJ-5 but I've only played active basses since getting back into playing about 5 years ago and I'm not sure about going with passive. Can the 55-01 get you into JB sounding territory?

They satin black coated my Lakland bridge and tuners for this refin. Maybe ask if they can do that for the dtuner?
I have a 55-AJ in transparent charcoal in the classified. Same neck as the 55-02. That might get you where you want to go. PM me if interested.

Those are USA Hipshot tuners. All of the hardware on the body looks correct for a USA Lakland as well.
