It sounds good, that Bass Simplifier is a great tool, i like it on the 100hz setting.

I like that setting as well. Do you think you'll ever use the loops? I've tried and thought the parallel loop ran parallel to a dry tone. Turns out that they are just parallel to each other, so I haven't found a good use for applying different processing to different parts of the signal.

Haven't tried the parallel loops yet, but have heard that they're useful

Like others indicated, that looks too brown. Perhaps a tort more on the red side? I think a black pearloid would tie in the corners of the block inlays nicely.

I used my 55-02 about 5 times since the AJ was received. Actually thinking of letting it go and getting a USA 55-60 or another AJ. The 55-02 is pretty heavy compared to the AJ.

I have heard others comment on the weight of Skyline being heavier than USA counterpart. My Skyline 44-01 is very light to me, sub 9lbs. Plays very well. Excellent bass. Anxious to see what you end up with.

There is also something special about the USA necks that I like better than the Skylines.

I was fortunate that my first Lakland (55-02 Deluxe - left in pic below) was sub 9lbs which kind of surprised me considering I'd heard Skylines could get fairly heavy. It comes in right around the same weight as my 55-94s.
