Yeah, I was going to make a lame joke about "low turnout". Anyway, that finish is really cool, almost like a deep ruby or garnet red. I think you've posted about this before. What was the name of that finish?

It is Jazzberry. It has a reddish/purple hue. But, looks red in most photos.

New Lakland day! Love my basses so much I decided to grow the family with a guitar.
I wonder how many LOG basses are still intact from the original 32? Mine is still completely stock, and dead mint. I did swap the pickups to the neo punch that I won from the owner's group giveaway... still have the originals though. Seems like I've seen a fair amount altered, or the parts of (usually necks) used on other basses.

If I recall correctly (it’s been a while, so I might not be), I *thought* there were a couple of prototypes beyond the lot of 30 that were distributed (hence the 32). I do remember hearing something about some extra LOG necks, too.

Mine was altered and the neck ended up on another bass somewhere out in the universe (I tracked down the original owner and asked). Still pretty darn cool though.
I owned one of these for a couple of years. Maple neck with black blocks and black hardware. I really liked the bass, but just didn't really play it that much, although I did record an "album" with it. Somehow I wish I still had it. Stupid me!
Well, you had the choice of pickups when ordering. I ended up with both options. So, *technically* could still be considered stock... though not "as ordered".

Hey Lakland users, I am thinking about changing the pickguard on my Skyline 44-64 Custom to black pearloid. I know this has come up before in this thread but can’t find the info. Where is the best place to find one or have one made? Thanks.
I’m actually looking for the same (black pearloid) for a 44-64GZ I recently picked up. Brian at Lakland recommended either wdmusic.com or pickguardian.com. I contacted pickguardian through the contact form on their site and didn’t hear anything for a week. So, I followed up on FB chat, and replied saying that he was out of town and would get back to me when he got back. Never heard anything and I haven’t followed again up yet. That was a few weeks ago.

Question for you fellow Lakland players -
I briefly owned a 44-02, something I thought I'd really like until I soon found out that the way it sat on me was just unnatural. I gave it a few months but it never felt right and so I traded it. It was really unfortunate because I love the electronics and the sound. The way it sat was not the only reason though, the other I'll get to below.
I should say that I am quite happy with my Decade and 44-64, all Skylines.
When test driving a compressor at at high-end local music shop I had the choice some Skyline 44-01s and 44-02s.
When I used one of those, it had the same other issue that my 44-02 had - the G string would pull off the fretboard when playing. I don't get this with the Decade or 44-64, and I have experienced this now on 3 different 44-01s / 44-02s.
The Decade and 44-64 have thinner necks than the -01 and -02, so I'm wondering if this pattern is a known issue for some -01 and -02 configurations.
There is a used non-44-64 for sale remotely that interests me, but for buying something sight-unseen I'm concerned about the G pull issue with it, so checking here with the community if anyone else has seen this, before I pull the trigger from multiple states away.
