Lakland Owners Group #69

I'm not liking my JO5 playing through the Aguilar tone hammer 500....makes the bass mid heavy. But, when I play it through the tecamp black jag, it sounds nice. I don't wanna get rid of the TH500 because my other basses sound nice through it. Just ordered some Bart's 57j's for the Jo5.. Maybe that will helps. Thought about getting a j- retro also. Decisions decisions decisions

This is my Lakland 55-14. It has Nordstrand pickups and a Mike Pope Flexcore preamp installed. Is it still a Lakland?

Hi guys, it's my first post after a very long hiatus...
I have a problem, I wonder if you guys could help me,
My 55-02 all of a sudden sounds a step or 2 brighter than usual, on a normal fingering, it's sound great...but when I pluck (and slap) it's get very distord, especially on the G string, and it's get even worse when I dial more on the treble knob, until I get a loud ziingg on full knob treble, anyone know what I'm dealing with?, my battery is old but I seldom use it, so I don't think it's a battery issue, I haven't check it with a fresh battery though.
Thanks in advance

Check with a fresh battery. Usually audible preamp distortion increases due to bad batteries.
