Lakland Pick Guard Poll

#1 has a great old skewl P bass look, although it's awesome without a guard! I think it'd be killer as is with just some groovy chrome knobules. 
I'd have to say I'm somewhere between 2 and 3... with the guard overlapping the bridge pickup a bit more than either of those do. Like this...

Yeah...I was thinking of that one when I did it. I didn't have the photo, but looks like I came super close!
So far #1 (P bass type) is leading the pack. I like that one, Markus & I thought that one people would either love it or hate it. I may also look into getting some chrome knobs.

you are SO lucky to get that bass! that is one of the sweetest basses I have played...I would say Midas should stay 100% gold....BUT:

hmmmm...very interesting....like the idea...although it is not my bass.....but I MAY incorporate that into a bass I do own someday!
If your choosing the guard for the protection it would provide, I'd say #1, to minimize scratches in the vicinity of the knobs. If that is not a concern, and for originality, I'd choose #2.
Thanks for all of the votes. This bass may be up for sale. One of my old basses I had to sell has just come on the market & I really would like to have it back. So check the for sale thread in a little while.
