Lakland Skyline quality

....it is not the "nicest" place in town but it ALWAYS feels like home when you visit...even if it is the first time!!!

Hey, we've swept the floor a couple of times this year, oh yeah, and we now have Nag Champa and Patchouli simmering oils and candles around the shop...for optimum ambience (hrumph, my idea)!!!! :D

I'll have you know that the environs are the secret to the "mojo" in the Lakland basses. Oops! I let the cat out of the bag. ;)

That doesn't seem like too much of an oddball though the PJ might make it take a little longer because it is a different route and is a bit of custom order. I stick by my original statement, I would definitely get a refund from the dealer if you can't continue to wait. I know if given the chance Dan and Crew will take care of you! Have you talked to Brian or John or anybody directly at Lakland? I am not insinuating anything at all, but I do know of at least one dealer who would get deposits and never place the order...I would confirm with Lakland that they actually have it and get their take on the delay...Good Luck and let us know how it turns out.

Peace,

T
Thanks all of you for your feed back
John Pirruccello e mailed me and gave me a delivery date
Everything is fine and I am looking forward to playing my new Lakland.:hyper:

I examined it this morning in the sun and so far, it's flawless I can't find any faults what so ever.

I'm glad you said it instead of me.

hello, Im new to TB!

Hope some of you could answer my question.

If I were to buy DJ4 Skyline series, when would be the best time to buy? I would want the "upgraded, better quality" lakland that was posted.

thanks!

Hahaha, oh man! :p
You pose a very interesting question, Vin. Check out the official Lakland thread here because I asked the exact same thing. However, which answer you accept is solely up to you.

And for those who seem to have an issue with basses made in Indonesia,on the back of the headstock in plain view is made in Indonesia :)

If you ordered one today, there is a very good chance that you will get a made in Indonesia Lakland Skyline.

But for the record there are a very few of the made in Korea Skylines still available.

haha! in simple terms, Indo or Korea made..which is better?
Check out the LOG thread! In simple terms, it's "nobody knows for sure yet." :(
I myself, however, have decided to ignore all those Korean skylines already in stock all over the world, and instead wait for an Indonesian one to be available. Hopefully, I won't be kicking myself in the future for this gamble!

So the Indonesian Skylines are already shipping?
Barklessdog wasn't getting a special VIP pass at getting one early? Yay! :hyper:

EDIT: Bass Central just told me that the "new ones" are expected at the Lakland factory at around Xmas. :crying:
With the sloooow shipping during holidays, I guess it'll be hard to get that special Christmas feeling with this one...
