Btw, for those using the TS4 dock, is it normal for them to run pretty hot? It's a new piece of gear for me.
My rule of thumb is only doing the OS update on the eve of Apple launching the newest OS. At that point things have generally settled down.
Sweetwater publishes a version update compatibility guide for major releases and has one for OS 26. It includes a third-party manufacturer list at the bottom that's, to me, the most useful portion of the guide. This was last updated two days ago at time of posting:

The subscription model, as your provided link indicates, also includes things like Mainstage, Logic for iPad and Final Cut Pro. I'm not a big fan of subscription model software, but as far as they go this one does seem to provide a lot of value for the money to those in the creator space. Apple has always maintained that Logic's license and its updates are perpetual. I think the only way they'd get around that is by rebranding Logic as a different piece of software, perhaps not dissimilar to the recent "Studio One becoming Fender Studio" debacle. Hopefully that never happens and those of us that paid for it at full price years ago get to enjoy continued updates forever.
I use Logic professionally and I'm usually the last guy on the block to update. On my main studio machine I'm still two OS's back. I just can't risk a bunch of time-wasting nonsense with all my third party plug-ins (which I use a ton of) when I have work in progress. (I try and keep a second machine that mirrors #1 for redundancy just in case when I do update, but they inevitably drift apart if you don't totally stay on top of it).
I did not update. and plan to do it until it is forced, I have Apple Silicon Max edition. I do have another Mac that won't take new OS anymore 2015 Mac Intel and that system is very stable and runs old plugins and samples I also have a 2019 but someone else in the house is using it and I think they have updated with no issues but they do not have a finicky Antelope Audio amd older Apollo interfaces
So, it appears Logic Pro 12 is out. Will it be a straight update for LP 11 users ? (I'm on 11.2.2). I don't see an app update available in the App Store.

It's only for Apple Silicon machines. If you have an Intel-based Mac you don't get an update, at least not currently.
I'm on an M4 MacBook Air. I got all the updated stuff in the last LP push. I was just surprised that when I went to the App Store, it did not show any updates available for my machine. Hmmm. I mean it's not a huge issue, LP 11.2.2 is fine, but it's kind of cool to get new features.
I also use MainStage, and I thought I read that it has an update too .... but it's also not showing as updatable In the App Store for me
how did you update LP ? via the App Store ? I have LP 11.2.2 as well as the latest ver of MainStage, and I don't see any updates available from the App Store for my stuff. Hmmm
Logic Pro didn't show up in the updates section for me today, either. But when I searched for Logic and clicked on it, the update button was available. I'm on an M4 Pro based laptop with Tahoe 26.2.
hmm, I wonder if you were able to see an avail LP update because you are on Tahoe ?
I'm on a M4 MacBook Air running Sequoia 15.x.x, so other than NOT running Tahoe 26.x, I would expect to see an avail LP update.

Worked fine on my M1 yesterday but I wasn't doing heavy editing, just playing around/building parts.
Seems as though you'll have to upgrade to Tahoe unfortunately. I think it's worth it with the Stem Splitter update and the Chord ID that extracts the chord progression out of a song. Very useful. The Stem Splitter sounds very good.

I can see it in Sequoia, so not related.
sometimes Apple store updates take a couple of days to propagate (it's not a centralized server, but a cdn with layers of caches). it also happens with OS releases: if you'll read a thread about any ios/macos release on macrumors, first couple of pages will be "got the new version" and "not seeing it yet", so it happens like every time.

My Logic auto-updated last night. I’m annoyed. It’s basically the same, but just different enough to be mildly annoying, as common workflows now look different and sometimes behave slightly differently.

As far as I'm concerned, I don't even plan to upgrade from Sonoma anytime soon, so I'll be doing just fine with LP11 for quite some time to come.
(For what it's worth, my mobile recording setup is based on a 2008 (!) MacBook Pro running El Capitan with Logic 10.3.3 and multiple FireWire and USB audio interfaces. Then I do the editing and mixing in Logic 11 on a MacBook Air M2.)
