Lately, the more I've tried to diversify my listening and really feel out what I have already, I've noticed one reoccuring thing- I really dig latin and cuban styles a LOT. I enjoy some of the standards and more traditional stuff, but it doesn't seem to get me groovin the way a lot of the latin material does. Can anyone recommend some latin and Cuban jazz books that would be good to ge ta foothold on it?

Check out Hermeto Pascoal man, baddest brazilian musician/composer. He has a book
    Tudo e som.
    His music is incredible
  4. Here's one - here's another (more Brazilian than Cuban, but still pretty good…)

    Good Luck!

    …ooops! sorry Marcus - I should have read the thread more closely… (bloody bass-players, always rushing… ;) )
