It will likely be 5.3 Ohms (3 8 ohm drivers), which for all intents and purposes will be absolutely fine with a SS head like the 7 Pro and should sound fantastic.

Three 8Ω drivers would result in 2.7Ω. It would require three 16Ω drivers to get 5.3Ω.

A couple of years ago, I had a chance to play through a pair of Don's 15/6's and they were great sounding, beautiful and very well made. I highly recommend his cabs. I'm going to be talking to him soon about building a pair of compact, lightweight single full-range 115's with Faital PR400-15's. As others have mentioned, Don is great to work with.

I may be the only person who "fell through the cracks", so to speak, when trying to order with Don. I placed an order for a 2x6" cabinet in early of August 2011 and he gave me an estimate of 4-6 weeks at the time since it was a small build. Fast forward to October - he responded after a few days to an email and told me I was up next on his build list - hooray!
Move forward to December -I started thinking something was off when another TB'er, who had posted that he ordered a more elaborate LDS cab a month after me, had posted NCD pics on the thread in December. I tried contacting Don, but he didn't respond to my email, and his phone only went to a messaging service. I posted an open inquiry in the LDS megathread - the moderator, (Chef), posted that he had personally inquired with Don...who had no idea at the time about a 2x6" cabinet order. (NOTE: Chef has since deleted his response, for whatever reason.)
Don responded after the thread activity and sent me a refund on my deposit.

Why am I posting this? It's just to give you another viewpoint from someone who didn't receive a cab and felt lucky just to have walked away with the original deposit. I'm not the norm, though.

I remember your situation.

Aug of 2011 order placed.
October was about the time Don moved from Detroit to Seattle.
email changed, phone number changed. He quit taking orders about the time you placed yours, anticipating what he could get done before the move, and not wanting a situation like yours to happen.

My response was along the lines of "Don doesn't come here; you should direct your inquiries elsewhere." I believe I messaged you his Seattle email and phone number in an attempt to be helpful and in fact, called Don on you behalf. I think I pulled my posts after your response to me personally, but, it's been some years now, and I could be wrong in my memory of that.

I was wondering the outcome of this cabinet as IIRC it was supposed to be a matching cabinet for a Minimark combo amp, right? I would have ordered one too, once I knew what your was like.

Finest cabs money can buy, I have a 4x8 that I use with my MB800 for small rooms and it thumps! Weighs less than 50 lbs too. I am going to have him build a long throw 12" cab to throw underneath it in the near future.

what speakers are used in the 4-8 cab?

I just found an LDS cab on the used market. Small cab 3 way with an 8 inch for 75 bucks... local covid restrictions make it impossible to go get it.
