I want one of these so bad but the weights on Sweetwater are all over 9 pounds and that’s a deal killer for me. My Jaguar and my P bass are both 8 or less and are easier on my back!
These are some of my favorite strings, how do they sound on the Rascal?

Play one yesterday, fit and finished are very nice, the Green just look sexy. Overall has expensive-look.
But, few thing make my gas gone.....
Weight, large body, neck dive even playing sit down, pickups vibe sound to hollow side. Compare to new Sonic Bronco, the bronco more match to 30' scale bass rules.

I also think that the white pearl guard looks much better on both the green and the pink.

Pink, absolutely.
The green I actually prefer with the mint. In the promo photos it looks way too yellow/gold, but in all the review videos it looks really nice.

Gotta say the fit and finish and construction is very nice. Just like my paranormal jazz bass. Whatever factory they are using is doing a great job. The rascal is exactly the same overall length as a standard 34” bass so it doesn’t do “extra portability” like other short scales. Otherwise very comfortable to play and whole it has some neck dive, with a strap it’s not a big deal.
I added a Hipshot drop tuner and a string tree to capture A better. Other than that I don’t plan on any other upgrades. The pickups are high output but not much top end. With flats it’s very vintage sounding. I may try rounds to add definition and see if that helps.

Of course the inner diameter of the ring on the string tree was too small so I dremeled it out a bit and checked with the ferrule before installing.
The Hipshot bt7 is a direct drop in though.
