I am very intereted in how you apply Bert Ligon's 'Linear Harmony' to bass playing as Mr Ligon stresses various common lead playing that starts on the 3 note and leads to the 7 in an 8th note pattern and bass appears to have a common pattern but playing the root on 1 and the 5 on 3 in a quarter note pattern
It seem very much like counterpoint, but there are such great bebop riffs in Ligon's book I'm interested in how that might apply to bass.
