You tell me. am i left handed or right handed?

LEFTY!

i'm another lefty that has to overcompensate for living in a right handed world.
I play in standard tuning.

anyone know where i can get a great lefty bass for under 400? i'm looking for something that won't die under my forceful playing. another issue is quality. even good companies tend to put less money into their lefty basses and still charge out the ass for them. thanks.

I am thinking of assembling a team of left-handed bass and guitar players and storming some guitar factorys, and threating to kill all the staff unless all guitars and basses are made lefty as well as right-handed. The organisation will be called FFLGB. Fighting For Lefty Guitars and Basses. You don't think that is too extreme do you ? :D :p

just give me a date and time

Im active on the HCBFs, though have only scanned through here for the past few months, but decided to chime in for this discussion...

I'm a lefty and decided to play both bass and guitar right handed. In no particular order, for the following reasons:

- due to the lack of instruments/choices out there
- due to the fact that as a lefty, my left hand/arm are stronger and more dextrous than my right. It would only make sense that I would want to use that for my advantage, thereby using my stronger/more dextrous hand for the fretboard
- due to the fact that the first instrument I ever learned was piano, and to some degree, no matter what handedness preference you are, you pretty much have to play the piano in a similar manner, no matter if you're righty or lefty. Using this knowlege, I figured that most likely, the slate was truly wiped clean in terms of being predisposed to playing one handedness or the other...

In fact, it made much more rational sence, even skill wise, for me to play right handed as opposed to left handed.

Okedoke, thanks for listening :)

I've always wanted to be left-handed.... It's better for writing Japanese... less smugging. I originally was going to try and get myself a left-handed bass so that my right hand (stronger) would be the one making the notes instead of strumming. But I found out just how much harder it is to find a left hand bass. So I'm a right-right-right... Wishing I was left-left-left ha,ha,ha! Oh well...:bassist:

Where do I sign up? :)

Left handed- play righty. Dominant hand does the fretting, seems that it would be natural choice. I have tried to play a "lefty" bass- doesn't feel natural at all.
