How many million people fit a similar description? Seems easily attainable to anyone healthy and willing enough.

Anyone? After a start in a small time(Britain only)band from out of nowhere who got a few records out, then on to a marginally better known psychedelic band that gained a following in an era of scores of similar bands, he landed a sideline gig as a roadie, for some guy named Jimi Hendrix. Finally joining a notorious psych band on the rise, going down an uncharted path who managed a few UK hits, and even more than a few fans even in the US, in spite of their relatively outrageous sound, even singing lead on their best known single.

After, yes, being kicked out of said band, he followed his own muse, starting from nothing with a trio that only went from strength to strength, growing a worldwide fanbase with music that was far from easy listening. Yeah, such an easy path.

People here seem to have a very hard time focusing on the actual question at hand.
I’m not talking success, morals, looks, coolness, sacrifice, influence or anything of the sort. I’m talking about Lemmy’s “musicianship”, which of course everyone here and anywhere else knows was very poor. You may be angry, you may scream troll, you may be confused, but the fact still remains. Not opinion. Fact.

PS: Fun part is I think he would agree.

What makes him “most overrated musician” ever? Compared to who? In what context? Point out the song(s) where he fails. Where would he be worse than any number of bass players who have made a career out of pumping out root notes?
And don’t avoid that last question from my previous post.

In the context of music, compared to any and every musician I’ve ever heard. Most overrated doesn’t equal worst. If pumping notes is your context then I suppose we’ve not much to talk about.
I’ve said enough in this matter, it isn’t my job to argue ad infinitum with some random fanboy about how worthless Lemmy was as a musician.
