I'm reading Lem's biography now, and it's amazing how incestuous the whole rock & roll scene was in the 70s.
Apparently one of the gals from Girlschool fell in love with one of the gals from the Runaways.
Amazing stuff. I'm glad I bought it, because I will probably read it many times.

Wow. You know, I never really listened to much Motorhead because I always sort of associated them with metal, which I'm not really a fan of, but that is frigging awesome. I can't believe I've been neglecting these guys so long.

A lot of people would consider MH the first crossover band, between Punk and Heavy Metal.
I asked Lemmy if he considered them more Heavy Metal or Punk, and he said "We are Motorhead, and we play Rock and Roll, MATE!".

Yeah agreed, definitely more Ramones. I really like thrash though, just not so much the noodly solos and such. Is that a Motörhead song? I've heard a Ramones version of that -- would be epic if it was Ramones covering a Motörhead song about them.
