Lemmy.

Lemmy and Motörhead have released yet another album (bad magic) and i've already pre ordered as its amazing. Did glastonbury fest (and blew everyone away) and many other shows this year. Lemmy looking really good and as ever, his bass playing is the same cool, unique tone...hasn't changed one bit. Though he's been occasionally using a burns bison bass in the studio and some shows it think.

What do you guys think of Lemmy and Motörhead?

Big fan for nearly 30 years. First heard them aged 13, and my love for Lemmy and the band has never waned.

Likes come and go, but Motorhead have been my musical rock. Seen the a few times, and plan to go again (even though they don't really 'tour' the UK anymore).

Great to see the Glasto footage - Lem's had his health issues, but bar a couple of blips, the band sounded on good form. He may be 69, but to me he's ageless.

Looking forward to the new album (only gripe - their modern records lack bass definition).

Pick any of their records, and you're in for what it is - rock 'n' roll. Massive influence on me, and one of the main sources for my love of Rics (even if I've never sounded much like him)!

Lemmy may be THE most rock and roll person alive, IMO. I mean, ya gotta think about Iggy Pop and Keith Richards and a few others, but I don't think they come any cooler than Lemmy. I've been a die-hard Motorhead-head for 35 years now since I wandered into a record store in 1980, aged 13, and they were blasting the newly-released Ace Of Spades album.

I will always buy the latest Motorhead album. In a sense, you know what to expect, but they always seem to throw a curveball or two in there as well. Just a great, great band, and Lemmy has well-earned his status of Legend. He's definitely way high up on my "Celebrities I'd Like to Meet and Have a Beer With" list.

Late 80's we used to go to a club in London, "Gossips" if are familiar with it.
Too much booze, barged into Lemmy as I was racing to get to throw up in the bog. Mumbled an apology just as I managed to projectile vomit into the nearest toilet pan.
He asked me if I wanted a pint. Yeah sure, thanks Lem. No need to take the piss mate I thought.
Goes to the bar once I'd stopped heaving and sweating, barmaid puts a pint in front of and tips her head in Lemmys' direction.
I thanked and bought him a drink later.
And I worked in a hotel there and when he was staying I was always being called up to fix the porn channels on the TV.

Ah, back in the old days, Batcave and all. I hung out there when I was in London and got a chance. Great and now legendary place. No Lemmy when I was there though.

i like lemmy's playing and motorhead's music a lot. also he's a really nice guy - i used to go dancing with friends at the rainbow, and he was usually there, happy to talk gear, music or just chat, and was always really cool to people.

Yeah, Lemmy's got his own designated seat over by the electronic trivia machine.
There's a Snaggletooth logo in one of the sidewalk stones out front of Rainbow & of course the name in a brick on the front wall.

This is the one they did over at Guitar Center.

The first time I met Lemmy, he wasn't even in the Rainbow room. It wasn't far from there though. He was out promoting their latest album. I walked up & asked if he wasn't Lemmy & he said, "How could you not recognize my ugly face?".
I laughed & he bought our entire table a round of drinks. Jack & Coke, of course.

I just finished reading Tony Iommi's biography & he was writing about touring with MH. He said they live a real rock & roll life style & almost live like gypsies.
He also wrote that one night he saw Wurzel throw up right before going on stage & he just thought WOW!

This probably isn't the case lately. I think Lemmy drinks tea more than he does Jack these days, but here is what his Rick cases look like.
