I'll agree, Conan has a better late-night show. I still remember Sam Mildener, Late Night's "war correspondent". I also can't figure out how Conan hasn't aged in the past 10 years. But Jay's still an excellent standup comic. I still don't get the Milli Vanilli analogy- they were popular for like, 1 year. Jay's been selling out shows for 20 years- if he sucked, people wouldn't be coming back that long.

Look, people think the man's a hack, but he's actually a fair-to-middlin' observational humorist. I think he gets a bum rap as a prop stooge, because he's got more than that in his act.

...it's all he really does, but at least he's not Carrot Top. Christ, even Carrot Top hates Carrot Top.

Jesus Christ dude... well, I guess I know where I'm not wanted anymore... I thought posters here were cool until this came up. I'll still lurk, as this is really the only place for bassists to hang out. But I won't post much anymore

I think the point he's making is that what the popular audience pays for is not a good gauge of talent.

Yeah, OT is basically where all of us eternal jackasses hang out. I'm unemployed so I basically have nothing to do but be a jackass all day. :smug: That and perfect my plan to take over the world.
