That looks quite familiar to one some friends served us coffee in not too long ago. I don't like coffee prepared or served in metal, so I was not a fan.I found one of these brand new at a St Vinnies thrift store for ten bucks.

I use an AeroPress stainless steel every day, but one of these days I will try it.
Has anyone here used one?
Aha, then get yourself a jar of Taster's Choice and be done with all this mess. 200-ish (depends on how big your cup is) cups of coffee for less than $20.My palate must be as dead as my hearing. I don't think I could detect the difference between coffee contained in stainless steel vs glass. Just as I am unable to hear the difference some people claim to hear in an amplifier when comparing how it sounds with an Amperex Bugle Boy compared to an Ampeg branded Sylvania 12AX7 tube in the preamp section. (For which I am grateful.)
Be careful with that my friend. In a similar way, that quest led me to find dissatisfaction playing the bass guitar. I eventually stopped. No instant coffee for me. I would hate to know how much money I have spent on now unused coffee related gadgets that I used only briefly and then relegated to the back of a cupboard after buying some other new or different thing because I became intrigued by a different method, potential convenience factor, or just plain short-term retail therapy benefit. After finding the Espro press at St. Vinnies, I went to the website, and saw they make a single serving travel mug press that I thought I may give a try. I wonder if there is room for it in the unused coffee device cabinet.
@Hoochie Coochie Man How do you like the AeroPress manual grinder?Too late.
I already ordered the massively over-priced Areopress manual grinder, (and a very inexpensive Skill rechargeable electric screw driver to turn it because I am lazy).
I'm with you on that. I went to a purely ceramic travel mug, but it loses heat too quickly. I finally found the Asobu Puramic mug. Double wall steel construction lined with ceramic. Keeps it hot and the coffee isn't in direct contact with the metal. Works well. For me, I don't like the taste of coffee in metal, that's all.
It's none of that other stuff.

They reviewed a bunch of drip coffeemakers in Cooks Illustrated not long ago and found this to be the only one that heated the water to the proper temperature. I haven't used one, but it's the one I would get if I were looking to buy a drip coffeemaker.I saw this coffee maker recommended on Americas Test Kitchen TV show on PBS:
Bonavita 5-Cup Coffee Maker, Thermal Coffee Brewer – Compact Size, Ele
