I'm so excited... this is my first NAMM here on TalkBass and my first in general. Today is going to be wild. Looking forward to showcasings from MTD, Lakland, Warwick and Fender. IDK about anyone else though. Maybe Modulus. Most definitely Ibanez.

Why would Schecter name a bass after Dug Pinnick and not offer a left handed version?

It's called the Ying Yang and it hurts!I wonder what The Fodera Butterfly's finishing move is?
Wow, I think someone is not gaining entry to the hospitality room!I'm going to go in the record as saying NAMM kinda sucks. It just a giant tease. 99% that is displayed there will ever make it way into the stores. All the stores will still have the same selection of generic crap and the public will never get to try any of the equipment because we can't get in. Why should buyers be the only ones that get to see and test out every Warwick bass or Fuzzrocious pedal when they are never going to put them in the stores anyway? Does having famous players at a trade show hawking gear do anything for buyers? You know who would love to meet those famous players? People that actually BUY the equipment.
Every manufacturer has a Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTub channel, so it isn't like we don't know what's coming down the pike. What we CAN'T do is touch and listen to the gear first hand. The NAMM show doesn't meet those goals, and makes it feel like a self-congratulatory vestige of a bygone era.
So, I'm counting on you to report back regarding all of the rumors and predictions from my posts above! Also, photos of the aforementioned t-shirts will be appreciated.I'm so excited... this is my first NAMM here on TalkBass and my first in general. Today is going to be wild. Oh, I would totally love to do that. I'd love to meet musicians I admire while trying out some real equipment. It's pretty cool if you like to rub elbows with some big shots who obviously don't want to be there.
That's funny. I didn't even know there was a hospitality room! You can't gain access to any of it anyway.
Only people connected to the industry or endorsing artists can get in. Even if you can find someone to sell you a pass it is $150 for a 3 day pass. I live an hour away from where it is going on right now, but it might as well be in China.
I can already watch people report on gear on YouTube. So what's the point? I don't need to watch other people yap about it, I need to play it myself.
EBMM is the worst tease since the high school flirt who never gave it up until college. Some full body images would be nice.

Interesting. Those look like Delano pickups, or something based on their design. They smack of a Sandberg.
