OK, after over a day, I’m throwing in the towel on this one. I thought there would be enough gear geeks and old farts that would pick up on it, but apparently not. As far as the two Vox models goes…those are American made solid state amps, which don’t necessarily correspond to any British configurations. In the wake of The Beatles, utilizing British or British sounding names was all the rage, and a marketing ploy. It went the same for American(garage)bands, famous or not. In addition to the Sir Douglas Quintet and the Beau Brummels, for example, there were the Royal Guardsmen(first amp), a one hit wonder band who had a goofy novelty piece of bubble gum with this…

The second Vox model(third depicted)were a couple of Buckinghams; a Chicago group by that name had a string of hits, starting with this one…

The amps in the middle? I guess nobody here loves that dirty water, as those are Standel(l)s. Maybe I should have thrown in a 2000s or Model T Sunn. Or would that be SunnO)))?
