I own quite a few black basses. A 1994 Ibanez SR 500 Soundgear, a 2012 Music Man Stingray 4H, a 2013 Stingray 5 H, a 2010 Music Man Bongo BFR roasted neck, a 1992 Epiphone by Gibson Accubass and this one, a 2017 K B Guitars AKA Killer B Guitats, custom shop P bass.The P bass is the one that has been getting the most love and attention lately. The Nordstrand Audio NP4a pickups are my favorite thing about this bass. I absolutely love them! The bass also has Hipshot tuners and bridge and the bass has an all natural, unfinished maple neck and fretboard. I don’t know what Fender coats their necks with but with whatever it is, I absolutely hate the feel of them. The neck on this bass is super smooth and feels incredibly comfortable. It’s as smooth as silk and plays really fast.

Now I am at work thinking about this beauty. What is worse is that I have to attend a Planning Commission meeting tonight for a municipality our firm represents as municipal engineers so I won't get to mess with this until after 9:00 PM tonight! Arrrgh!!!!!

Got this a few weeks ago, but waited to show it here until after a few changes and a further blackening...the neck plate and kitten are also new.
Hammersmith PJ4 with EMG Geezer Butler PJ's and Hipshot 2-stop D-Tuner, which will drop my E string to a D or a B. Strung with a 9 month old set of Dunlop Super Bright Nickels...sounds absolutely amazing and is super light!
