Here are my black basses. An OLP MM1 (i think) that I got from CL. It has a GFS pickup and a clone of the original StingRay Pre (from ebay). Sounds good but I don't love the width of the neck, tbh...The body was in rough shape (previous owner removed finish with heat gun, poorly. Burned the wood all over). I sanded it down and used india ink to ebonize the wood before using Minwax satin poly to finish. Got a new shiny guard from pickguard heaven that the doofus from guitar center royally screwed up trying to fix my wiring mistake (the even worse news is he didn't fix the wiring issue...DOOFUS! I would not recommend EVER using a repair fella from GC. Especially if you're in Evansville, IN. Just saying...).

My other black bass is my most recent purchase. A used Carvin Bunny Brunel 5-string. I LOVE it. very comfy neck (it's asymmetrical). Great feel to the low B. Sounds great, though I may eventually upgrade the pickups/electronics.

The last pick is my dog. He's not a bass, but he is black and beautiful. He's also kind of a doofus...
