Universal route? What do u mean? Another option you may wish to consider is the clear static cling vinyl. Roger applies it to his instruments once finished on the back to prevent belt buckle scratches and on the front along the top of the bridge pickup. You cant even tell its applied. I told him I'd like to see it applied to the body in place of the pickguard which is something he may do once he knows for sure leaving it applied will not damage the finish. He currently dosent have a template cutout for it but he may consider it for your build. I've had my bass almost a year now and it hasnt caused any damage to the finish @all.tombowlus said:But did you have the universal route? If so, can you show photos?

He's referring to a custom route Roger will do so you can change back and forth between a P and a J style pickup in the neck position. However, it generally requires the appropriate pickguard to cover up the "unused" part of the route for each pickup, as it looks a bit odd otherwise.LaMarquis J said:Universal route? What do u mean?
