  1. Got a bass that has three (or more) pickups in it?

Like Neck, Middle, Bridge plus etc .etc etc.

    Post your pics...

I think that Lakland of Harry's has the most:

  3. Oh, another excuse to post my mod? You talked me into it:

  4. Very nice.

How do you like your tones?

I see you have lots of on/off toggles but no volume switches..

I posted this in my NBD, and in the Dingwall Owner Club thread, but, why not, I'll post it here as well:

Dingwall Afterburner 1, 6 string, 3x pickups (FD3s), Glockenklang 3 band preamp, Series/Parallel toggle switches for each pickup, 4 way rotary switch (Bridge, Bridge + Middle, Middle, All Three). Monsterous tone.

I had a Big Al sss. Wish I still had it
  11. I'm happy with the sounds. It's bright, aggressive, and doesn't stay in its corner. There are no knobs because I don't like knobs. Obviously I like options, just not if they're infinitely variable. :) Full details are in the link.

They're labeled Dracowire. Either designed by Duncan, or made by them, can't recall.

It's still in progress, almost finished, but I couldn't not share the custom I ordered.

    Just the body:

And me straddling the whole thing when I visited the workshop for a day:

Two jazz singles, and a humbucker inbetween, with some nifty wiring options. Good stuff.

The last time someone asked this question I posted a pic of my Lakland Skyline 55-02D because I tend to think of the two coils in that bridge humbucker as two separate pickups.

I said it before, and now I obviously say it again: That bass is a true beauty drool

Wouh! This is really cool as well!

    Absolutely love the futuristic shape!

Also quite bold to chose a pink bass, and even if I don't normally like basses with fret boards made of light colored wood, maple I presume, I must admit that if the bass absolutely had to be pink, it would be the wood that would suit it the best.

I have some fantasies including 3 pickup basses as well, and this is how I imagine them looking:

My Ibanez Mikro which currently have a P/J set of EMG Geezer Butler pickups installed, in this picture photomanipulated to also yield a Seymour Duncan Rickenbacker neck pickup as well in the far neck position (should be just possible, if a quite tight fit):

My dream bass, which I designed with the help from the template on Halo Custom Guitars homepage and a piece of my own artwork:
