Let's see your Bass Rig

IMG_1950.JPG
This is my smallish rig...

Here's my Hellbeast:

Trace Elliot AH500X Series V preamp dual 250 mono amp into a Trace 1048 4x10, and 1528 2x15 and a separate Trace AH250S into a Trace 4052h 4x5 "Bright Box." The signal is split out of my Markbass Chorus/Flanger at the end of a pedal signal chain beginning with a Korg PitchBlack tuner, Markbass Distorsore, Markbass Mini Distortion, Markbass SuperBooster, Markbass Compressore connected to the Chorus/Flanger. I play Yamaha RBXJM2 bass guitars and nothing else.

Link Removed

The other amp is a Trace Elliot AH200s 4x10 combo that I often use when playing out or with side projects.

An update on my bass rig, full with bass, effects and amps!:

qpijyp.jpg

Signal path:

Ibanez Mikro Bass (with EMG Geezer Butler pickups)>> EHX Black Finger (always on)> Boss LS-2 (Loop A)> (Boss MT-2> EHX Tube Zipper (used as fuzz)> Harley Benton California TrueTone)*> Boss LS-2 (Loop A>>Bypass)> Joyo Orange Juice> Monarch MFL-22 (flanger)> Zoom B3 (third slot AcBsPre always on, set flat only utilizing the Depth parameter as HPF set to around 40Hz)> Boss FV-50H >> Trace Elliot GP75SM 130W 15" (via Tuner Out)>> Joyo Orange Juice (always on)> Behringer BEQ700 (always on)>> Dynacord Bass King 50W with 15" cab

*These 3 pedals are used stacked and the California is run at low gain so that it mainly works as tone shaper for my MT-2>Tube Zipper fuzz sound (also the Harley Benton California TrueTone pedal is basically just a relabeled Joyo California Sound pedal)

Edit - An Update! (will update with a new post with a picture soon as well):

An update of my signal path, now significantly simplified and cut down, also now use my EHX Black Finger last in the chain and mainly in the function as a tube preamp instead of compressor, still an always on pedal though:

Ibanez Mikro bass (with a pair of P/J EMG Geezer Butler pickups)>> Boss LS-2 (A+B mix>>Bypass)>
- (LS-2) Loop A Send> (a chorus pedal to come)> EHX Black Finger (used as tube preamp)>> Trace Elliot GP75SM (130W SS combo with 15")
- (LS-2) Loop B Send> > Monarch MFL-22> Joyo Orange Juice> Behringer BEQ700>> Dynacord Bass King (50W tube head with 15" cab)
- (LS-2) Output> Tuner

All pedals always on, except chorus pedal.

Ok so we have seen basses and guitars so now its time to see your Bass Rig. Through my life it has always been a struggle to have the best sounding rig. Sometimes it is a combo but for me most times it has been an amp and a speaker cabinet. Here is a picture of my most current rig and I will post more of my other rigs when I get home. I am real curious to see what people are using.

My updated full rig.... Ready for the world!!!

Amp - New to me Peavey Mark VI. 200 W at 8 ohms.

Top cab - Also new to me SWR Goliath Jr. with 2 x 10 8 ohm Eminence speakers.

Bottom cab - The cabinet that's been with me since the beginning - some 30 years... The 65 VOX cabinet. It has an 8 ohm Black Widow speaker.

The cab on the side is a home-made project built by my friend Richard Stark. I forget what's in it. But it packs a punch. (He says: "Lopo Line 1x12 with an Eminence Neodymium"... Whatever that means! :) )

The bass??? - My forever trusty 1989 Peavey DynaBass. Right now I have it tuned to sound something like a Ricenbacker, but I can get a lot of different sounds out of it. That thing is one hot Mama!!!
All I need now is a project.
