Let's see your Bass Rig

For smaller gigs I use a 115XL and an Ampeg pf500. Works well for me.
I used to have a Hartke 115XL and 210XL and really liked the 115 much better than the 210. Actually I liked the 115 a lot. It would put out some serious bass.

For a while I gave some serious thought to getting a second one to mate with the MB500, but then I got a GK NEO 410 and that was the end of that.

Still wouldn't mind it though as it is a good sounding cab that isn't really heavy at all.

Another fan of two 15"s... (my music room/practice space) :)

Oh yeah, SVT with 2x8x10 cabs. BASS

It's actually just one 810e, the other is a cabinet meant to hold an actual fridge (see the hidden handle? ;)). But it was empty when I bought it so now I just use it for storage at my jamspace.

We actually used it for a few funny shots in our latest DIY, no budget, music video. Check it out at 2:35:

How is the Stew 2.1 sounding
It is a beast. I never have the attenuators above 10:00, and it drives the Bag Ends easily in a largish bar-type setting and outdoors. I have received compliments from other bass players on classic rock or blues gigs. The fans are not bothersome, and it has ever shut down on me. I keep the 1.2 around for backup, and it gets used to drive monitors from time to time! Very happy with it, and if I had to replace it, I would look at Mesa, B-Amp, maybe Crown, Peavey or QSC.

pedalboard 3.JPG 06 The Electric Drywall Orchestra lives again.jpg Here's my rig (from a pic taken last year)

Substitute the Tech21 RBI with a new Ampeg SCR-DI pedal (seen on the mockup of my soon-to-be pedal board, courtesy of Ikea Hackers Club)...

EDIT; Was asked by a poster here to name what these bloody things do. So here we go!

Top Row-
Ampeg SCR-DI, Guitar PCB Bass/Guitar Driver (DIY), General Guitar Gadgets MXR Phase 45 clone (KIT), SSM2166 VCA compressor (DIY), Optical comp/limit based on DOD280 (DIY)

Bottom Row-
Black Box Delay based on PT-2399 delay processor (DIY), Earthtone Big Muff Pi (my guitarist built that one for me), Boss OC-2 Octave (Japan), 'Lil Birdie EQ (EMG EXB with an input buffer), Green A/B loop switcher for the compressors (DIY), Morley Optical Volume.

Tech 21 RBI (now broken and sitting in a moving box somewhere)
SWR ST-800 power amp (bridged, 800Watts @ 4 ohms)
2015 Ampeg SVT810E (since this pic was taken, I've removed the White piping around the grill, and the "Classic" badge on the bottom. Otherwise stock)

As you can see, a LOT of the pedals are DIY/KITS. I LOVE building stuff...

Still gotta get better pics of the bass though.

Stay Tuned!

I haven't tried the Ego mini. I've heard the the attack, and ratio are fixed. The full size Ego is the best pedal comp I've tried. I used to always use dbx rack units. Great unit.

Edit- when I was auditioning mini rigs I thought I would just have to live with smaller sound. I was used to 4x10's moving air. The Ego made all the difference. Made the little cab sound huge.
