Quite a bit of wear from playing, I should say. The yellowing on the nut is oxidized original finish that was sloppily applied at the time of manufacture. The unoxidized finish under the pickguard is several shades lighter.

I've never never heard of "Pierce" basses but those are beautiful! Particularly the black one. Where'd you get them?
Thanks! They're Warmoth parts basses I originally put together over 2 decades ago. The semi hollow body was built by a friend. Both have gone thru various experimentation over the years but had final face lifts a couple years ago. Played them last night and as always they delivered.
