On stage with The Nasty Habits in Pt. Angeles WA @ The Metta Room, we had a good show - the first time out with our new guitarist. We had a good crowd, the venue sold out, more than 280 people.

I just checked it out, I grew up not very far from there. Looks like a nice place!

We used to call it the Royal Grave because you would play Wed thru Sun with zero people on the weeknights and 1500 on the weekends.

Those Wed/Thu nights were rough.

Ah - the days of the 5+night bar gig Back then I was in NE Ohio, early 80's. Did a whole month of Wed-Sat gigs at a place in a mall in Erie, PA - in winter

I'm an odd duck. I don't play NYE. I value my wife more than my hobby. But I understand it's not a hobby for everyone.

You say that like people here don't value their wives. I happen to like mine quite a bit. She was at the show I played too...along with my Mother in law and Father in law. She's the one who shot the video I posted earlier.

Me too - it was so cool to be able to just walk in and play on a Friday night with the place packed and the sound completely dialed in.

Now you're lucky if the tech is even paying attention - and who can blame them for what they're getting paid and the DB's they have to put up with.

It's your inference. And I understand. My wife doesn't really like to dance at clubs anymore. It's different for each couple.
