Let's spread some musical misinformation

Tube amps, noteably the SVT, have been known to put out radiation that can affect the player; fortunately, studies by "top men" in the field indicate that the changes can include, a better sense of time, tighter playing, fuller punchier sound and all around superiority to other (solid state) players of a commensurate skill level.

Dropped Z tuning is so low, only certain animals can hear it--but it has been used in conjunction with instruments tuned to Drop Q tuning & a ukulele in open M tuning to play a wonderfully charming symphony.
Oh yeah, Ruthven Mophandle Heyser's Symphony No. G in 5 Major.

Wound strings can be recovered by tightening them again. Attach the ball end to a fixed point. Stretch the string and clamp the other end between the jaws of an electric hand drill. Now pull and let the machine do the work. Take care, don't overtighten the strings or they will get out of tune.

Don't try this at home kids!

Professional bass players dip their fingertips in superglue to get a pick-like attack.
...
This isn't misinformation for rockabilly/psychobilly slappers, but it's not so much about pick-like attack...

That study was later found to have been paid for by Ampeg. :)
That study was headed by none other than JimmyM.

The sons of The Sons Of The Pioneers didn't follow in their fathers' nor forefathers' footsteps and never learned to play any musical instruments. Nonetheless, music still runs in their veins — these Pioneers' grandsons (or is it great grandsons?) started up a highly successful car stereo, home entertainment systems and TV manufacturing company... yup, you guessed it:
"Pioneer".
