I've seen this for real. A while back I was in a large building in Antwerp, Belgium with about 20 rehearsal rooms. In the hallway vending machines were placed, filled with strings, picks, cords, drum sticks and other useful merchandise. This, of course is no misinformation. To comply with the rules of this thread, this merchandise was for free.
Albert Einstein once said that there's more energy and matter in the universe than we can observe and measure. He was right, though he could not have known about the bass guitar, which was to be invented by Leo Fender.
Because he was a genius he never failed at guitar.......so therefore you are correct, he would not have known about bass....
