if you own a bass or a guitar, sooner or later it will be destroyed by the insect pictured below.

It is Frigginbiggus Axemuncherus and is found in all guitars and basses that have any kind of wood in them.

The larval eggs are so tiny they cannot be seen by the human eye. They love basements, bedrooms and dark gig bags.

When they hatch, they reach adult size in 48 hours.

The eggs are common on the hands of people who don't wash their hands before assembling a bass or guitar at a factory. They are found world-wide.

They will eat all the wood on a guitar or bass.

Top picture shows a full-size female.
Bottom picture shows a guitar wrestled away from an infestation five minutes after they started eating it......

Fred Dakes of the band "PixieDust" saw footage of Jimi Hendrix setting his guitar on fire with lighter fluid.....and was so impressed he wanted to try it himself.

But Fred decided to use gasoline instead of lighter fluid.

The picture shows Fred's guitar just moments after it caught fire......Fred and everyone at the show escaped unharmed but the building burned down.....
