Let's spread some musical misinformation

Smuggled from Area 51, The exoskeleton bass. It's an instrument, but not as we know it.

Sergeant Pepper did indeed teach the band to play........but "Sergeant Pepper" was an alias used by Martha, who is pictured here in the middle, standing,......however to protect her alias, she dyed her hair........and is reported to have fled to the Tyrol after this picture was created.....

The Beatles were in the Tyrol looking for her when they made "Help!"......and added the track "In The Tyrol" to reflect this.......

Yes....Martha is a corruption of the word Mother.....

As with other bands, Pink Floyd just could not resist seeking the advice of 'Mother'......but were hesitant to call her 'Martha' because they didn't want further pressure put on the underground 'Martha' cult...

Marvin Gaye got into the act too, don't forget, when he opined, 'Martha martha - There's too many of you crying…'

Barbara Stanwyck was once approached by an interviewer about this movie......and flat out refused to divulge any information about the central character for fear of retribution....

However she did say that the last name was changed to protect the real identity of "Martha".....

All this was to change after Stanwyck outed herself as a jazz trombonist - named, you guessed it, Martha - during a fit of Dutch courage brought on by too many carrot juices. Peter Sellers saw her performing at the Blue Note and went wild for her. They shacked up together and a sequel was announced, with the working title, Martha Ivers-Strangelove in an Elevator.

This was all Peter's idea. Aside from his passion for cool jazz, he was a huge Aerosmith fan. Sadly, the film was scrapped and Peter and Martha split after Britt Ekland revealed herself as a flugelhorn virtuoso. Martha was devastated but that's the way it goes sometimes.

She's singing the German Beer Hymn, originally written by an unemployed German bass player...

Nice! ^ At Oktoberfest, jugs of ale are commonly referred to as Marthas and it's not unusual for young Marthas to down half a dozen Marthas during a single session. Sometimes songs don't make any sense. It does help to be German.

Check out these Oktoberfestive Marthas! "IHA, IHA, IHA-OH!"

He was a bloody bass burrito. Just look at that chordature!!! They say he learnt all that stuff from Jaco - the Latvian greengrocer, who had a market stall just 'round the corner from Britt's mum's weekender in the Cotswolds, who loved covering Spice Girls hits on the spoons for his regular customers.
