Let's spread some musical misinformation

The big rubber sledge is also useful for settling band disputes.
Short of using my bass as deadly force, grabbing one of the drummer's sticks and applying just a bit of force, with the pointed end, between the offending band member's trachea and carotid artery is a very effective argument ending device. Ok... Maybe band ending, too.

Where are you doing your time, or is this all just theory?:smug:

Real bass players always hang these from the rear strap button on a bass.

Ukulele and acoustic guitar folkmusic players do not.

Folk guitarists play entirely using hammer ons and pull offs and tapping as their other hand is busy putting one finger in their ear in traditional folk style. That's how all those metal players like Malmsteen learned those techniques... they were originally all commited folk players. Hence all metal albums have an acoustic guitar ballad.

The only time I get hammered is when I play my Bass-Dulcimer...

I don't use rubbers, I play unprotected with hard maple hammers, or cast-iron hammers if I'm playing with my dark metal band – "The Devil's Dulcimers".

Bass dulcimer would be awesome. I have a couple of spare bridges, some wood, strings, and a couple of spare pickups. But I only have a really big rubber mallet.

Bass solos used to be very common; much more common than guitar solos. Then Keith Richards got very upset that he was losing limelight to both Mick Jagger and Bill Wyman. So, the Rolling Stones did away with all bass solos. All other bands quickly fell into line, except the Beatles. Keith set that right by introducing John Lennon to Yoko Ono to disrupt everything and destroy the band.
