Let's spread some musical misinformation

John Travolta did not make a mistake when he mispronounced Idina Menzel's name. It was the launch of a spectacularly successful entrée into the celebrity renaming profession. He has come up with names such as Chance the Rapper. His current project is rebranding Lars Ulrich to Lance Oldman and James Hetfield to Silencio.

He also renamed Mick Jagger, who's currently better known as Moob Hanger.

Missionaries hate it when the jungle drums stop beating. They always know it's time for the bass solo!
I was wondering if anybody would bring up this joke (one of my favorite bass jokes)--& remember this thread is for misinformation...
Indeed, people who have heard one, and thus have lost the will to live, are rarely very interested in food.

Every Rush album since moving pictures has had tremendous bottom-end! Now there's mis-information for you!

They do, but it's all below 10 Hz, and so no one's hi fi can reproduce it. To create this Geddy uses two chained OC-2, both set to -2 octave only in a side chain. On stage he found that only washing machines and rotisserie chickens can reproduce such low notes but 99.3% of venues forbid the reproduction of such low frequencies due to health and safety concerns, and the other 0.7% of venues have a strict vegan on stage apparatus clause, and he didn't have the laundry equipment on those occasions.

Apparently it's very hard to get spinning chickens in phase at 10Hz anyway.

Rush hasn't sold a single album in Canada.
That's a nation wide boycott, because the necks of his basses aren't made of Canadian maple.

Actually, Rush hasn't sold an album in Canada since 1978 not because of a boycott, but because they have only sold singles in Canada. The oil lobbyists convinced the record company that it was better for the environment and local industry to produce singles instead of full albums. It had the additional benefit of reducing production costs.

The easiest way to drive a Canadian crazy; every time he/she mentions hockey (and he/she will mention hockey) just casually ask "Ice hockey?" for clarification.

Apologies, as that is neither musical nor misinformation.

Up here, watching hockey made the songs 'We Will Rock You' and " Hey Hey Goodbye (Na Na Nana) household/arena hits.
But every Canadian thinks Don Cherry wrote those songs.
