Let's spread some musical misinformation

Talking of tables, The Carpenters were not related, but were actually carpenters in a theatre originally, and got signed when they were caught playing some compositions during a break from making scenery for a production of The Wizard of Oz.

Here's some more northern music.

Come on, that's not true, there's Southern music, and stuff from Japan is eastern. I've never heard of any music from the north, though, apart from Rush and Abba.
Manufacturing costs for music in the North are prohibitively high so very little is produced , and usually only for export. The raw materials grow slowly due to extreme temperatures and environmental conditions.

...and there are Rock and Roll of course.

UK bands often have humour in the name. The Rolling Stones. The Moody Blues (all prog), The Pretty Things (ugly as sin), The Small Faces (tall blokes), The Nice, Bad Manners (well behaved), Madness (all mental health case workers), Ultravox (only did instrumentals, but Pete Waterman later added vocals to make them hits), and so on.

It's also the origin of the term 'coffee table bass' as coffee tables are less heavily taxed. Fodera ultimately branched out and offers a full dining set and some nice sideboards

To explain, this was to label basses as coffee tables and avoid instrument taxes. The dining sets have recently been extended to a seven person set, with the seventh chair being really big. The eight seat dining set didn't catch on as it was just a four person set but with four love seats rather than standard chairs. No elbow room.

Mark-Almond was really one person who had a split personality when he founded The Almond Brothers Band. Roadies Duane and Greg Allman jumped in when Mark-Almond suddenly left the group. They thought the group was already named after themselves.

Remember that lady of phrase and fable, who was convinced that all that glittered was some kind of precious metal, and who forked out the big bikkies for a hoity-toity stepladder, and who climbed that ladder knowing that one word was all she really needed? That word was Yatzy.
