Let's spread some musical misinformation

Don't sell that pink bass. It's perfect for playing Flamenco. Flamenco on pink basses is known as Flamingo.

You'll need to replace the 'tone' knob with a 'perception' knob though.

I thought almost all basses had the tone knobs replaced with perception knobs in 1968-72? Volume knobs were replaced with a 'distance' knob that could be set to near or far out. The exception was Jazz basses which had the tone knob set for options for swing all the way to free.

That was back in the day when loud amps turned people on, and vice versa.

Tap tempo is another way of saying 'water hammer'. So, the question has to be asked. What on Earth are you doing with your rig hooked up to the water mains? Mains electricity is the utility you should be tied into, not the water mains. Back to the drawing-board for you.

Upright basses are way older than we thought. Recently in Yellowstone Park a petrified specimen was found.

It's just direct hydroelectric power for the environmentally conscious.

Julian Cope's entire band's rig, however, is powered entirely by energy from ley lines.

The music label Parlaphone derives from the Latin (cf. French parler) for talking, and phone, which is the Latin for phone. This is because originally the label only released poetry and other spoken pieces, and even today music is only allowed on its records if it is supporting spoken pieces, e.g. the output of William Shatner

Gibson announces the Hydro Bass! To save the company's name, Gibson developed a groundbreaking new concept. It's a completely hollow bass, built of carbon fiber, that can be filled with a variety of fluids. Experiments were conducted with several mineral oils, oobleck, water and booze, making it suitable for Rock, Motown, Jazz and Metal. They are still working on a Blues fluid. As a side-effect, head dive can be reduced by not filling the bass for the full 100%.

A Fender spokesman said: "Wanna make it play the Blues? Just fill it with concrete and dump it into the Mississippi".

Bert Ruiter from Focus had asked for one filled with advocaat.

He was the bassist wasn't he?
