What I'm angling at is that you bottom feeders are floundering around for yet more fishy puns and show no ramoras in doing so.

I don't want to carp on about it, but I've had it up to the gills with fishy puns, it's making me crabby.

Any moray makes me feel eel, but for the halibut I'll fin again and then I'll skate away while I can.

TalkBass lures you in, though. It's a reel good source of information, if you can sand a little criticism. Sometimes we need to coral our enthusiasm, and that leaves us feeling shad. But there's no reason for anyone to get jellyfish, because there's such depth to the topics that are discussed! It can be hard to fathom, if you get my driftwood. So, there's no reason for anyone to feel anchor, fear or other negative emotions. It's also a great place to keep up with current trends. It has my seal of approval!

When I was a kid I had to walk fourteen miles just to look at a bass in a store window...

Then I had to walk fourteen miles back home to get dad to buy it for me.

Then dad and me had to walk fourteen miles back to the store to buy it.

Then we had to walk fourteen miles back home again.

We only had one jar of Mojo. And it had to last us. So I was allowed one tiny dab to put on the bass every three years..

Took fourteen years to build up to where there was enough Mojo on my bass.

If you only play things on a pentatonic scale all you need is a five string. If you play blues you have one more string than you really need.

When I was young you had to make your own bass (*) from wood and nails and stuff.

* I did actually do this - my first fretless. The neck was a lump of pine shaped with a spoke shave and I had absolutely no idea about neck relief or truss rods so the action was, er, interesting. I wanted to be my hero David Steele from the (English) Beat.

Mojo has been banned on many high school campuses when it was discovered teens were mixing it with energy drinks.

The 5 string bass was not developed to access 5 lower notes, it was to try to prove to other band members that bass players are just as adept as other musicians. The 6 string bass was developed to show guitar players that they have 2 strings out of tune.
