But that's considered old fashioned nowadays. All major metal bands switched to the full metal bass, as depicted below.A Daisy Rock or First Act bass are totally the two best basses for metal!

Three strings or four?
Do you arco it?
Where's the pick me ups?
I always thought he had to remind the drummer how to count.1,2,3,4 started each Ramones song as the bassist liked to check the presence of every string.

Number of strings? You can count to 4, can't you?
Playing with a bow? Strictly forbidden by the gods of hellfire.
Pickups? Made obsolete by a sophisticated laser vibration detection system.
Viking Valhalla features a bar for the fallen warriors (actually true). The fire is there to keep the guests warm in the ice cold Valhalla....Ever since Prometheus, who listens to gods, whats a good bass without arco, and I thought fire in Hell (Norway), was to either melt ice or keep the cottage warm...
The Beatles did in fact live under the sea, but NOT in a Yellow Submarine as they would have you believe; they actually lived in a pineapple. The band used the 'yellow submarine' ruse to keep stalkers from finding out where they actually lived and took great care never to reveal the true location of their undersea home. That is until John died and the rest of them all moved out of the pineapple and put it on the market - too many memories, man...
So, in reality, no-one actually knew anything about the Beatles true aquatic abode until the pineapple's new owner made it big on Nickelodeon, and now everyone and their dog knows about the pineapple under the sea. But for all the wrong reasons. A sad, but 100% factual, briny tale...
When composing new songs for Rush, Geddy used to live in a giant, fully functional bass cab.

He first had to evict that guy who plays guitar; you know, the one who isn't Geddy or Neil. I understand that when he wasn't living in the bass cab, the guitar player lived in one of the dryers.
Rush's awards for being excellent Canadian citizens allows them each the right to extract an Olympic sized swimming pool of maple syrup each year. The guitarist guy did, but misunderstood the intent and filled his swimming pool with it, and now has the most extensive wasp collection in North America.
One of the perks of having received the Order of Canada for music is that each member of Rush, on 1 July each year, is entitled to kick a Canadian public figure of their choice in the crotch. Neil has refused the honour each year and although both Geddy and Alex have used the honour, they have never disclosed who they have chosen. However, both David Suzuki and Justin Trudeau have been seen to be walking strangely late on 1 July.
