In the pocket n' thumpy. So woody, so greasy...
Flatwound strings are actually made by playing round wound strings for so long in a factory setting that they get completely worn smooth up and down the string. They are then boiled clean in house and shipped worldwide. This technique was invented by retired American WW1 Army Major Bulachietti.
Rotosound reintroduced round wounds as demand for strings increased during the beat boom and it didn't have enough in house players to wear them down.
When bassists had to wait for the lead guitarist's succession of guitar solos in cold outdoor venues, their bass strings complained about being cold. With the lead guitarists also using all the power outlets, the only suggestion that was made was "Put a coat on, or something." It took several tries, but eventually, every string found a coat that fit.
Good technique on that one.

There is an AC/DC tribute band whose members all suffer Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, called OCD/C. They only play one song, but they play it perfectly.
Mine vanished into thin air. Luckily I know a trick to locate air-basses. Use blacklight and hairspray. The the bass will reflect a dim blue light when hit by the spray.
For the best sound from an air bass use air from a swamp. Swamp air is what makes swamp ash so good too.
Swamp basses deliver that excellent muddy bass sound that all players seek.
If you want to optimize that swamp bass for some real Delta Blues, then let it soak in the Mississippi river before each gig.

Are you trying to tell me that a bass does not have scales whereas a bass does have scales? One of those does not pass the smell test.
That's 'cause his strap is set too high AND he's in a chair with armrests — NOBODY can play well when their airbass is knocking against armrests...
