Let's spread some musical misinformation

Sealed cabinets were originally invented as a means of preventing rodents, and insects, making nests inside the enclosures.

As part of the manufacturing process, they are sealed full of helium, to make them lighter to transport.

In the 1960s they used hydrogen, which is how the Yardbirds turned into the New Yardbirds after all the other band members apart from Jimmy Page were lost in a tragic bass cab explosion.

The best pressed petal rose"wood" fretless fingerboards are made from the Alberta Wild Rose...

MWAH!!

The darker the petals used to make the fingerboard, the darker the tone will be.
I find it's best to have a blend of light petals near the nut and darker petals at the body, so when you venture into "solo territory" it doesn't sound shrill or nasal and still maintains some bottom; conversely, playing around the nut doesn't get too boomy with the brighter petals.

Frankly, I find domestic hothouse roses make the fretless sound boring, hence my preference to get wild.
Playing around the nut also requires a delicate touch, as too much pressure can be painful.
