Be wary when "buying" a signature instrument. It is not actually a purchase, but a license to the instrument. At any time, the signature artist, personally or through a roadie, can revoke your license and take back your instrument.

Verisign was initially set up to verify Signatures on instruments, and when the counter-fitters (Music-store Employees) weren't having fits and started to sell "signatures" out the back door and online, that's when Verisign moved into the Internet security breach, uhm, business.

And this is what you need to listen to rap properly:

Awww, poor guy's confused. At least both ears aren't down (sad puppy). I wonder what it would take to get both ears to perk up — maybe let him off his leash, have a play in the water along the shoreline...

Markbass amps are named after British ex-pat Mark Bass, who lives in Italy. His surname name does not rhyme with base, but the British beer company Bass.

He eventually came to prefer his surname to be pronounced like "base", after he got tired of people telling him he looked like a bass,(usually this happened only after he was angling for complements). At least one time, he was called a son of a perch and another time told "put that in your Pike and smoke it". The verbal abuse became too marsh and he made a formal complaint to the Sturgeon General over the roe, but the General didn't get what he was carping on about. Something was fishy, though, and smelt bad, he thought that Generally All was corrupt. So, that's what actually made him migrate to Italy, specifically Sardinia I believe, floundering about as a teacher in a small school now, but only being paid scale wages.

Well that last para was dolphinny fun for me, things were going swimmingly well, but it's late I was running out of puffer. Nonetheless I had a whale of a time. I might bait you with one more before bid you good tidings...

During the excess of South American folk acts in the late 80s, and the over-ubiquity of pan pipe music, especially in lifts, the UN formed OPEC - The Organisation of Pan-pipe Exporting Countries to limit the spread via a series of quotas. It was entirely successful until it diversified into oil, except that the residents of many Middle Eastern countries are subjected to incessant jaunty yet wistful wind renditions of folk songs from Venuzuela, and the entire back catalogue of Led Zeppelin, Tom Jones, and The Spice Girls.

The mass spread of Pan Flutes across continents in the 1970's was the first recorded Pandemic in history. Unfortunately the recordings were largely on 8 tracks and consequently lost in obsolescence.

In its case, every bass is both tuned AND out of tune.

According to Schrödinger’s Bass, the Copenhagen interpretation implies that the bass remains both tuned and out of tune until the state has been observed.

Modulus had this in mind during development of the Q5 Quantum bass. They attempted to incorporate anti-matter into the pickup pole pieces, but were never able to get it to successfully fuse with, well, anything. And, tragically, two technicians who were working on this were never seen again after a huge explosion in the development lab. Modulus decided to keep the "Quantum" model name, however.

This is technically also true with violas, but one in tune out of the case has never been observed, so Occam's Razor would suggest the chances of one being in tune in the case is vanishingly small.
